Henri Selmer, Paris model 22 alto saxophone.
This is Selmer's first saxophone, produced after taking over Adolphe Sax's company. They started production in the 1920s and it is this saxophone that lead to the later balanced action, cigar cutter and eventually the Mark VI. Although not very well known, mainly because it was produced in such small qualtities, the "Modèle 22" has all the usual Selmer trademarks - excellent quality, wonderful sound and ease of playing.

This particular instrument is in especially good condition, having been very well looked-after and used professionally until a couple of years ago. I can't describe it as in "museum condition" because there is some plating wear on the thumbrest, on the sling hook and a tiny amount of wear on the RH pinky keys. Have a look at the "addition photos" and you'll see that the wear is very minor. Other than that the instrument is in truly excellent condition. It plays very well, is responsive both mechanically and tonally, the pads are all in very good condition, there are NO DENTS and just a little minor scratching (see photos) in a couple of places. Neck is also in A1 condition.
Comes in a Protec-style gig bag from Proel. Very well-padded and of far better quality than the more famous Protec ones, this case looks like new.
